National Hartford Centers Special Funding for Health and Aging Policy Fellow Award to an RN
The National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence program is providing special funding to support a Health and Aging Policy Fellow Award for an RN interested in embarking on a non-residential Health and Aging Policy Fellowship track. Applications are due by April 15, 2014.
The National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE) program is providing special funding to support a Health and Aging Policy Fellow Award for an RN interested in embarking on a non-residential Health and Aging Policy Fellowship track.
Applicants must:
- Be doctorally prepared registered nurses (not including DNP or exclusively online curriculum).
- No more than 10 years postdoctoral research training; engaged in a temporary and defined academic mentored program in nursing; be appointed in an academic faculty role that may include status as an adjunct faculty member
- Hold degree(s) in nursing (undergraduate and/or Masters)
- Be United States citizens or permanent U.S. residents
- Have potential to develop into independent investigators
- Demonstrate potential for long-term contributions to gerontological nursing
- The program is open to U.S. citizens at all career stages, with a focus on those early or midway through their careers
- The program seeks to achieve racial, ethnic, gender, and discipline diversity; applicants from groups that historically have been underrepresented are strongly encouraged to apply
- Secure salary support/release time from the institution where the fellow is located.
- Attend NHCGNE’s Annual Leadership Conference as well as the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting at least one year in a two year fellowship program.
