Diana Mason Leads No Holds Barred Radio Interview with Amy Berman and New York Times Blogger Theresa Brown

Since I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer I have shared my journey openly and honestly. The hope is to inform providers, patients, and policymakers how best to improve our approach to serious illness. On the national scene some have used charged language or have attempted to stifle discussions between providers and patients experiencing serious illness. This is a disservice to people like myself who can only receive patient-centered care when our values and goals are openly discussed and documented.

This month, I am baring all in an interview led by Diana Mason, the former editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Nursing, professor at Hunter College School of Nursing, and a longtime friend of the Hartford Foundation for her nursing and aging advocacy. Diana is joined by Theresa Brown, a nurse and blogger for the New York Times Wellness Blog. Nothing was off limits.
