Social Innovation Research Center Recently Released Interim evaluation of SIF Initiative Shows Early

The Social Innovation Fund (SIF), an Obama administration initiative administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service that funds promising community-based programs and subjects them to rigorous evaluations to determine their impact, has produced five project evaluations with positive, evidence-based findings, according to a report released on June 30 by the Social Innovation Research Center.

The John A. Hartford Foundation received a multi-year, multi-million dollar SIF award to help primary care community health clinics implement a program to improve depression care in medically underserved rural communities in the Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho (WWAMI) region. The Social Innovation Fund initiative helps the John A. Hartford Foundation spread the IMPACT model of depression care, in partnership with the University of Washington's Advancing Integrated Mental Health Solutions (AIMS) Center.
