James D. Farley, Chair Emeritus of The John A. Hartford Foundation, Passes Away
James D. Farley, Chair Emeritus of The John A. Hartford Foundation Board of Trustees, passed away June 17, 2015. Mr. Farley was elected a Trustee of the Foundation in 1977 and held the position of Board Chair from 1989 through 2002. After his retirement, he held the position of Chairman Emeritus and continued to be engaged with the work of improving health care for older Americans. He was a powerful and positive force in setting and maintaining the Foundation’s direction and he will be dearly missed. There will be a funeral service and Mass at Holy Childhood Church in Harbor Springs on Saturday June 27th.
