Eldercare Workforce Alliance Announces New Executive Director

The Eldercare Workforce Alliance recently announced Amy York, a veteran health and labor advocate, as its new Executive Director. York joins the Alliance from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, where she advocated on a wide range of issues, including Medicaid, Medicare, caregiving, the Older Americans Act, and other issues surrounding aging.

Nancy Lundebjerg, EWA co-convener, noted that “Amy has proven experience creating successful federal strategies and coordinating policy agendas on behalf of many stakeholders. The Alliance is fortunate to have her joining us and leading efforts to ensure all health care professionals can encounter geriatrics and gerontology principles in their work and education.”
