Call for Proposals: Lown Institute's Inaugural RightCare Alliance Young Innovator Grants

The Lown Institute is calling for proposals for its first RightCare Alliance Young Innovator Grants. The grant provides grantees with $7000 to pilot programs that teach trainees to recognize and avoid overuse, provide ethical, compassionate care, and build more meaningful relationships with patients. Applications are due September 12, 2014 and recipients will be announced in late October.

The Lown Institute is calling for proposals for its inaugural RightCare Alliance Young Innovator Grants. The RightCare Alliance’s Young Innovator Grant Program provides funding for students, residents, and junior faculty to pilot programs that teach trainees to recognize and avoid overuse, build more meaningful relationships with patients, and provide ethical, compassionate care.

You could receive up to $7,000 to cover project expenses, conference travel, and participation in a national RightCare Leadership Training.

Key dates:

August 5, 2014 – Optional applicant web conference call and Twitter chat. (Register here)
September 12, 2014 – Applications due
October 15, 2014 – Applicants will be notified of grant decisions
November 1, 2014 – Grant period begins
November 14– 15, 2014 – Leadership training in Boston, MA
March 8 – 11, 2015 – Lown Annual Conference in San Diego, CA

Applications are due on September 12, 2014. Recipients will be announced in late October.
