Amy Berman Listed as One of Fifteen Disruptive Women to Watch in 2015

Hartford senior program officer Amy Berman has been named as one of "15 Disruptive Women to Watch in 2015." The series is a continuation of this year's 14 Disruptive Women to Watch in 2014. This year's list features veterans with decades of experience on the bench, in the field, at the computer and represent a variety of disciplines and approaches to solving many of health care’s thorniest challenges.

Hartford senior program officer Amy Berman has been named as one of "15 Disruptive Women to Watch in 2015". The series is a continuation of this year's 14 Disruptive Women to Watch in 2014 and this year's list features veterans with decades of experience on the bench, in the field, at the computer; represent a variety of disciplines and approaches to solving many of health care’s thorniest challenges.

For this series, Disruptive Women wanted to highlight women from a broad cross-section of disciplines all of which profoundly impact health and health care. Besides Amy Berman, the list also highlights Supreme Count Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Maria Shriver, and many other individuals from a diverse backgrounds. Amy Berman is featured on the list for her article in Health Affairs "Living Life In My Own Way—And Dying That Way As Well," which focuses on her decision to forgo aggressive treatment in favor of pallative care.

Disruptive Women in Health Care is an online community whose mission is “to serve as a platform for provocative ideas, thoughts, and solutions in the health sphere.”
